Terms of Use — TradeCalc

These terms of use govern the use of the TradeCalc application ("the App") developed by Alex Masure.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading and using the App, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of service
TradeCalc is a calculation tool for traders. It computes position size, risk/reward ratio, drawdown, margin requirements and pip value across futures, crypto, forex and stocks. The App is available on iPhone and iPad.
The App performs arithmetic on the values you enter. It does not connect to any broker account, does not place orders, and does not execute transactions of any kind.
3. No financial advice
The App does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, trading signals, or any form of personalised guidance. Nothing displayed by the App constitutes a solicitation to buy or sell any financial instrument.
Alex Masure is not a licensed financial advisor, broker, or investment firm, and the App is not a regulated financial service. Every trading decision you make is yours alone.
Trading leveraged instruments carries a high risk of loss. You may lose more than your initial capital. If you are unsure, seek advice from a licensed professional before trading.
4. Accuracy of calculations
The results returned by the App depend entirely on the values you enter and on the contract specifications you select. Incorrect inputs produce incorrect results.
You are responsible for verifying every figure against your broker's own specifications — contract size, tick value, margin requirements and fees vary between brokers and instruments, and may change without notice.
We make no warranty that the calculations are accurate, complete, or suitable for your particular instrument, broker, or jurisdiction. Do not rely on the App as your sole source of truth when sizing a position.
5. Exchange rates
The App fetches exchange rates from a remote server for calculation purposes only. These rates are indicative, may be delayed, and may differ from the rates applied by your broker.
No user data, personal information, or device identifiers are sent with these requests. We are not liable for any discrepancy between the rates shown in the App and those used in your actual trades.
6. In-App Purchases and advertising
The App is free to download. The free version displays banner advertisements powered by Google AdMob.
TradeCalc offers a one-time in-app purchase ("TradeCalc Pro") that unlocks unlimited favorites, unlimited profiles, a home screen widget, and removes advertisements. It is a non-consumable purchase processed by Apple through the App Store and is subject to Apple's purchase terms. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policy.
7. User data
Your settings and saved calculations are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up your data. We are not liable for any data loss, including loss caused by deleting the App.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, and not to use it in any way that breaches the laws applicable to you.
9. Intellectual property
The App, its source code, design, and content are the property of Alex Masure. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.
10. Limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be free of errors or interruptions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any trading loss, financial loss, missed opportunity, or consequential damage arising from the use of the App, from a calculation it produced, or from an exchange rate it displayed.
11. Changes
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, France.
