Privacy Policy — AutoLog — Car Maintenance

AutoLog ("the App") is developed by Alex Masure ("lexa"). Your privacy matters. This policy explains how the App handles your data.
1. Data Collected
The App stores all your data locally on your device using SwiftData. No data is sent to our servers because we don't have any.
The data you enter includes: vehicle information (make, model, mileage, license plate, VIN), service history, fuel logs, reminders, insurance and inspection information, and receipt photos.
2. iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud on your device, your data may be synced via Apple CloudKit across your Apple devices signed in to the same iCloud account.
This synchronization is managed entirely by Apple. We have no access to your data stored in iCloud. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for more information.
3. Photos
The App allows you to add vehicle and receipt photos. These photos are stored locally on your device and in your iCloud storage if sync is enabled.
We do not access your photo library beyond the images you explicitly select through the photo picker.
4. Payment Information
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not collect, store, or process any payment information.
5. Analytics and Tracking
The App contains no analytics tools, no third-party SDKs, no advertising trackers, and no ads. We do not track your usage of the App.
6. Notifications
The App may send local notifications for service, insurance, and inspection reminders. These notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device. No external push notification server is used.
7. Biometric Data
If you enable Face ID or Touch ID app lock, authentication is handled by Apple's operating system. No biometric data is accessed by the App.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or transmit any of your data to third parties. Your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud storage.
9. Data Deletion
You can delete any data at any time directly within the App. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data. Data synced via iCloud can be deleted in your device's iCloud settings.
10. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this privacy policy. The last updated date will be changed at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
