Privacy Policy — BudgetJar — Envelope Budgeting

BudgetJar (the "App") is developed by Alex Masure ("we", "our", "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our App.
1. Data Collection
BudgetJar does NOT collect any personal data. All your financial data (budgets, categories, transactions, goals, payees, tags) is stored locally on your device.
We do not use any analytics services, trackers, advertising tools, or third-party data collection SDKs.
2. iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync (optional Pro feature), your data is synchronized between your Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit service. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is managed by Apple in accordance with their privacy policy.
We do not have access to your iCloud data. We cannot read, modify, or delete data stored in your iCloud container.
3. Bank Connection
BudgetJar does not connect to any bank accounts. The App does not use Plaid, Yodlee, or any other banking aggregation service. All transactions are entered manually by the user.
4. In-App Purchases
BudgetJar offers a one-time (non-consumable) in-app purchase to unlock Pro features. This payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect any payment information.
5. Children's Data
BudgetJar does not collect any personal data and is not directed at children under 13, although the App is rated 4+ and can be used by all ages.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised update date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
